After Reno’s winter wonderland, spring is a great time to get outside and enjoy the sun. At Champagne Pediatric Dentistry, we encourage our families to stay active and make memories together. Here are some of our favorite family activities:
Watch a Reno Aces game or a Reno 1868 FC match:
Enjoy an evening at Greater Nevada Ballpark to cheer on the Reno Aces or the inaugural season of Reno 1868 FC.
Want to win free tickets to an Aces Game? Champagne Pediatric Dentistry invites you to be the next “Champagne Tenth Man.” Visit our Facebook page, here, for more information.
Go skiing on the Fourth of July:
You read that right, go up and ski with nothing but a t-shirt and shorts. Don’t forget to pack the sunscreen! With the season’s snow total of 700 inches, most ski resorts have extended their ski season. Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows will be open the longest, until July 4, and Mt. Rose – Ski Tahoe closes May 29.
Hit the beach or hike at North Lake Tahoe:
Spend your morning in the mountains, and your afternoon in the lake! Tahoe has plenty of easy trails with gorgeous views of the lake, like the iconic Rubicon Trail. Other trails to conquer are the Emerald Bay Trail and Eagle Lake Trail. If you go to the Rubicon Trail, Kings Beach is only a 20 minute drive away.
Don’t want to drive all the way up to Tahoe? Go for a walk along the riverwalk in Reno or go for an adventure on the Hunter Creek Trailhead.
Go to the Zoo:
Take the family to the Animal Ark—perfect place to see animals from all over the world, especially their newest family member, Lily the Tiger! Make sure to bring a picnic if the weather is just right.
These are just a few of the many activities in Reno-Tahoe. Break out the sunglasses, have fun, and don’t forget to schedule your regular appointment at Champagne Pediatric Dentistry: 775-359-3934.
