Established by Dr. Larry Champagne in 1976, Champagne Family Dentistry has been serving families in the Northern Nevada community for over 40 years. Cariann Champagne, DDS
Dr. Cariann Champagne loves working with kids! She was born in San Jose, California and graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1997 with a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry. In 2001, she graduated with honors from Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where she earned her doctor of dental surgery degree.
After dental school, Dr. Cariann practiced general dentistry in Sparks, Nevada for three years before attending the University of Nevada School of Medicine for a two-year pediatric dental residency program where she served as chief resident her final year.
Dr. Cariann is a board certified pediatric dentist. She dedicates herself to providing the highest quality of dental care possible to her patients, ensuring that they have a positive and fun experience while learning to care for their own oral health. She has extensive training in all facets of pediatric dentistry, including growth and development orthodontics, sedation, trauma, preventative care, and restorative care.
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the Nevada Dental Association, the Northern Nevada Dental Association, the Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Cariann has also served as a board member for the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation.
She pursued her dream of becoming a pediatric dentist because of her love for working with children. In her spare time, she likes to play golf, paint and do pilates. Fun fact: She’s a music aficionado – from Sinatra to Timberlake and all in between!
Jason Champagne, DDS
Dr. Jason Champagne has spent many years volunteering his time to support children in the Reno and Sparks community through his volunteer efforts with the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and dental care programs such as ‘Give Kids a Smile.’ He is committed to helping children understand how to maintain healthy teeth throughout their lives, while making their dental appointments fun.
Dr. Jason obtained his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry in 2001. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1998.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the Spear Study Club, and the Northern Nevada Dental Society, of which he formerly served as president, vice-president and secretary/treasurer.
He is a board of directors member of the Boys and Girls Club of the Truckee Meadows and is also a fellow in the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Jason is also a current board member on the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners, serving his third term.
Dr. Jason actively provides volunteer dental services through the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program. Also, for the past few years, Champagne Family Dentistry has hosted the annual Give Kids A Smile Event for Northern Nevada. This amazing day provides free dental services to kids of the Boys and Girls Club and our community.
His hobbies include skiing, golfing, playing guitar, and spending time with family. Fun fact: Dr. Jason loves Karaoke and he considers himself a pretty good Neil Diamond impersonator!
Karina graduated from Milan Institute in 2015 with a dental assistant certificate. Her interest in the dental field grew when she was only six years old after her mother asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up. She replied, “a dentist.”
She didn’t think much of it again until she was in high school. At age 16, her mother asked again, “So what’s your plan after high school?” Karina replied, “I’m interested in the dental field!”
“My mom’s face was so surprised! She said, ‘That is what you told me when you were 6!’ ”
“I feel like dentistry has always been such a great interest of mine. Keeping cavities at an all-time low and great hygiene at an all-time high! Graduating as a dental assistant was such a great achievement for me. Teaching and preventing sugar bugs are super important, and I want to spread that message by making the pediatric dentist office a fun and rewarding place to be.”
In her spare time, Karina loves hiking up small mountains with her malamute Kylo-Ren. She also loves to ice skate and ski. Fun fact: “I really, really like Star Wars!”
Cheyenne attended the Northern Nevada School of Dental Assisting and graduated with honors. She has worked as a dental assistant since 2016 and has been at Champagne Pediatric Dentistry since 2017.
Cheyenne decided to work in the dental field after a sports-related injury to her teeth. “After seeing how much everyone in the dental offices cared for their patients and understood what they were going through, I knew his is where I needed to be!”
Outside of being a dental assistant, she loves being active by going to the the gym and going on hikes with her dog Milo and boyfriend David. Fun fact: “I used to live in Arizona and play college softball for Central Arizona College. After my injury, I came home to Nevada and went to dental assisting school!”
Megan attended the dental assisting program at Truckee Meadows Community College. She has worked in general and pediatric practices throughout her dental assisting career and has been at Champagne Family Dentistry since 2013.
“I’ve always loved going to the dentist, and I like working with kids. I want to help children have a good experience in the dental office and make them want to come back.”
Megan likes to travel as often as possible and go to Lake Tahoe whenever she can. She is a big sports fan. “I love the San Francisco 49ers and the Boston Red Sox.”
Sandra is originally from the Philippines. Her family immigrated to Seattle, Washington in 1983. She attended the PIMA Medical Institute’s dental assisting program and she has been a dental assistant for fifteen years.
Her background includes working for Regence Blue Shield as a dental customer service representative for five years. Since she became very familiar with the dental insurance codes and procedures, she decided to go back to school to become a dental assistant to learn how the procedures are performed.
Some of Sandra’s hobbies include photography, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, and going on road trips with her family. Fun fact: On her days off, she enjoys traveling and going places instead of staying home.
Victoria has been a dental assistant since 2012 and came onboard at Champagne Pediatric Dentistry in 2016.
She decided to work in pediatric dentistry because she loves to work with children.
“I love to make children feel comfortable by building a trusting relationship with them. I love to put a smile on their face and help teach them about oral hygiene. I love to be able to boost up a person’s self confidence through their smile.”
Victoria loves to play soccer and hangout with her son. “He believes he is a dinosaur so we try and spend lots of time outdoors.”
She also likes to go to the gym in her spare time and she is a big Disney fan. She loves to have discussions about Mickey and Minnie and Disney movies, talk about the Disney parks, and have sing along parties. “I’m also a big 49ers fan. I’m very passionate about my red and gold!”
Estefany attended Milan Institute and she has been in the dental field since 2013. She started out working in general dentistry and moved into pediatric dentistry, which she now loves.
“I always wanted to make people feel good about themselves and help them to be healthy. What better way than brightening their smile and making sure their teeth are in good condition?”
In her spare time, Estefany likes to go on walks with her son and husband, and shop at the mall for her son. Fun fact: “I’ve been told I’m funny because I like joking around.”

South Meadows Reno
Jackie has been in pediatric dentistry since 2001, and with Champagne Pediatric Dentistry since 2016. Jackie enjoys working with children and helping educate families on the importance of dental care. She loves to see kids with happy and healthy smiles! In her spare time, she loves to travel with her family and really enjoys seeing how much her daughter loves to experience new things and places. A fun fact about Jackie is that she was a competitive gymnast growing up, and later spent time coaching both gymnastics and cheerleading!
Patient Care Coordinator, Sparks
Claudia started working in dentistry in 2009. She said she chose this field because she loves being able to touch a patient’s life in a positive way.
“I love giving our patients a reason to smile by enhancing their quality of life.”
When she is not working, she is usually in the kitchen cooking.
“In the summers I love going camping and traveling. I guess you can say I’m consumed by wanderlust.”
Fun fact: In 2017, Claudia traveled to five countries in Europe in 14 days.

Adriana has worked at Champagne Pediatric Dentistry since 2016. “I love getting to know our families and patients, and love working in a great environment. I can say we are a great team!”
Adriana grew up in Washington state and moved to Reno in 2005. She has two sons and one daughter. She loves being with her family and going to the movies. “We like to travel, and our favorite place is going to the beach.”
Sparks Office Practice Manager
Melanie graduated from University of Nevada, Reno, with a bachelor’s of science in community health science. She went on to Truckee Meadows Community College, where she completed the dental assisting program. She received an associates in applied science and a certificate of achievement in dental assisting.
Melanie has volunteered for multiple Give Kids a Smile events over the years, providing free dental services to children in the community. She interned at a general dental practice and an oral surgery office and then began her career in 2013 at Champagne Family Dentistry.
“I knew I wanted to work in the dental field ever since I can remember. I was always that kid who loved going to the dentist growing up!”
Melanie loves spending time outdoors with her dog Sadie, going to Lake Tahoe, golfing, traveling, and being with her family as much as she can. Fun fact: “I am a Reno Native and would love to get my pilot license!”
